Albert Pujols Signed & Inscribed MLB Record Lineup Card July 17, 2009 MLB Record Most HRs in First 9 Years
In recognition of Albert Pujols historic first ten years in Major League Baseball, the Pujols Family Foundation is conducting a special series of auctions, called the Milestones Collection. 100% of the auction proceeds will go to support the on-going work of the Pujols Family Foundation. On July 17, 2009, in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Busch Stadium, Albert Pujols set the MLB record for the most home runs in the first nine years of a career. The previous record, set by Ralph Kiner, had stood for 55 years. With career home runs #352 and #353, Albert had the eighth multi-HR game of his 2009 MVP season and the 31st of his career. The 2009 season saw Albert become the only player in MLB history to begin a career with 30 or more home runs in nine straight seasons. This game-used lineup card has been signed by Albert, who also added the inscription MLB Record Most HRs in First 9 Years. The card features MLB and Pujols Family Foundation authentication holograms and is accompanied by a Pujols Family Foundation Certificate of Authenticity.
